What are your Halloween plans, for those who do Halloween?

We've figured out a solution to the fact that my kids can't eat the candy if they join the massive trick-or-treat extravaganza on a seriously decorated street in our town that draws thousands.
We're just going to have a Halloween party at our house every year, and they can invite their friends, and everything will be things my kids can eat! Trick-or-treaters who come to the door (we don't get many, because they mostly go to that one street, but we get enough to keep things fun) can have a choice of Halloween pencils, or else I will probably have a bowl of regular candy, who knows. The stuff my kids can have is either going to be homemade, or expensive, so I am not handing that out!
My daughter who just turned 8, wants to be a toilet paper mummy, though we'll have to be creative about making that a comfortable indoor-party costume. My son is happy about the racecar driver getup I found for him, and the Snow Pea...I don't know, I might just go with a comfy Halloween tshirt and some sweat pants.
I'll be the usual halloween elegant witch, with a crushe velvet cape and fancy hat, sweeping skirt, etc.
We can't do anything actually scary with a toddler in the house but we can do fun, which is the point anyway.
What's everyone else doing?
