This is a personal debate, not a "Hot Topic" debate by the way... *smile*

I've been stuck in bed a lot over the last several weeks as you all know.

I can certainly understand your concerns ... have you tried / considered accupuncture / accupressure? It can be very effective for getting labor rolling (w/o pitocin) if mom's body is near ready, which it sounds like yours really is.

Talk to your doctor about your concerns and get his / her take on things. Chances are your doc will be amenable to an induction, but if he / she is reticent, then you might find the energy to wait a few more days.

Good luck

One should think that by now I would have learned not to get my hopes up, but this morning I woke up with hard contractions 7-8 minutes apart, and they did not weaken after 2-3... So I thought *at last* and then immediately my next thought was "no!!!" *smirk* One should think that after three births I would know I can do it.

It is a hard decision. I am very impressed that you have made it as far as you have without breaking down. Constant pain is so tiring on its own but add everything else and it is exhausting - mentally and physically.

I don't know if you already stated this somewhere, but how dilated/effaced are you at this point?
