Ugh! What I do NOT understand... I always have horrible heartburn, and I've heard others having it too...

And yet, I had never, not once, heard of heartburn as a symptom of pregnancy until I was suffering it!

I had it horribly with DD. So bad that I literally had to sleep sitting up because I would end up choking from the backlash of the heartburn. Very disgusting. I have had it with this pregnancy but not as bad thankfully.

River,

Pregnancy is pretty much the only time I have heartburn (I know I'm lucky)..Normally tums will take care of it and make it bearable, except this pregnancy. Even drinking water was causing heartburn from he**! I started taking zantac and it's made a huge difference. I only take one a day, unless I need the second one..I also avoid my real triggers :o.j., pickles, chocolate, tomato sauce..

It's been great and I (tmi: had a real constipation issue with too many tums) haven't had any side affects so far.

I haven't been hit with the heartburn yet. If I had the room in my house, it would sure be nice to have a recliner to sleep in when it does hit!
