I'm on my phone, so this is going to be short. I'm in the hospital being monitored. I was 1/2 cm dilated on tuesday and am now 2cm. I'll be checked again in 15-30 min. I'll give an update later.

Well, he's still in there.

I was having progressively strong, regular contractions about 2 hours before I went into the hospital, but they died out after being in the hospital for 1-1.5 hours. Since them, I am back to having sporadic b/h and sporadic back pain.

When I left the hospital, I was still sitting at 2 cm dilated, 50% effaced, and -3 station. (on Tuesday, it was 1/2 cm dilated, 50% effaced, and -3 station). Looks like these contractions I'm having are doing some work.

I've been going through this for about 48 hours now. If I follow my pattern, I'll have sporadic b/h and back pain throughout the morning and afternoon, and then tonight they'll start becoming regular and progressively worse. Maybe things will stop and he'll hang out in there for a few more weeks. The doctor mentioned that Oliver just might make an arrival this weekend, so we'll see what happens.

I'm going to spend the day drinking lots of fluids and resting. I think I might call my mom and see if she would mind staying with us a couple days to watch the kids for me. Unfortunately, dh has drill this weekend, so he'll be gone all day tomorrow and for half of Sunday. At least he'll only be 2.5 hours away though.

Forgot to mention this. They're not quite sure why I'm going through all these contractions already. My vitals are good, I'm well hydrated, I haven't been out in the heat, I haven't been over-exerting myself, no bladder infections, urine tests check out fine, my other two pregnancies made it to full term.

I'm glad you're being monitored and watched so closely. Seems like your doctor is on-point, too. I hope Oliver will stay "cooking" for a bit longer, but if not I think both of you are in good hands. Hope your mom can come out and help you for the weekend. As we all know, every pregnancy is different and some can be very different, so maybe your body is just ready to evict.

I am glad they let you come home. I really hope your mom can come help. It would be much easier on you to have someone there.
