I read that most babies can come 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the due date...and more babies statistic wise come AFTER due date than before..Only 5 percent come on EDD (my daughter was one of them!). Just felt like sharing...esp for all the women out there who are needlessly frustrated when baby doesn't come by 39-40 weeks. lol

The 5% statistic has always been a fun one for me, bec ause my kids have always come on my ovulatory due date - all three of them.

I guess they go by the EDD by calculating LMP. and it would be your ovulatory EDD if you ovulate exactly 14 days after LMP

Yeah, I typically ovulate around 10-11 days into my cycle... which is why LMP is usually wrong for me.

I know quite a few women who've had one or more of their kids on their EDD.
