Heartburn?

I had terrible heartburn last pregnancy with DD but only near the very end (last 6 weeks or so). In the last few days it is back and no matter what I eat, I will get heartburn afterwards. Is it common this early? (I'm 19 weeks 2 days). I've been taking TUMS, and it helps, but there is a limit of 5/day and I find I have to ration then so that I don't go over. Anyone else?

Ohh.. I am right there with you, but mine started getting bad at 16 weeks, morning sickness stopped and heartburn began.. I take tums too, and they have begun just not working and everything causes heartburn..most fruit, drinking too much water, tea, coffee, chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, nuts, too much milk, tomato, sauces, soups..lol..you get my point!! I hope someone else has better advice. Just wanted to say, you are definitely not alone! :p

Don't lay down right after eating. Limit acidic drinks and foods and eat smaller meals. Tums doesn't work for me but I have a problem with my esophagus so have to take the meds i do every day.

With my last pregnancy, I had heartburn bad, and it did start pretty early on. Luckily, nothing this time (well, so far anyway).

I had HORRIBLE with my last pregnancy..i am dreading it this time around, but so far just a few things have give in to me..and it's not bad at all..I think i started really early last pregnancy. Ask your doc for a prescription..and eat small meals and snacks ..not big lunch or dinner..HTH

I get heartburn or reflux symptoms with anything I eat or drink but i have it every day no matter what. I have to take the meds on a daily basis or I will be in alot of pain and discomfort. The only solution I have is surgery but i am too scared for that. Funny thing is my reflux/hearburn began in late pregnancy at 21 with DD and never went away. I hope everyone feels better!

I started getting heartburn some weeks ago, but luckily it stopped. I carry so low, I tend to have more bladder problems than hearturn problems.

With my previous pregnancies I had heartburn from the beginning, but I have acid reflux.
