I know we are all getting really close to the end but I thought it would be fun to share how we found out we were pregnant and how we told our DH/SO.

i made a decision to have one last baby (only had 1 child --15 when i was 21 yrs old with ex-h)..I had thought about for a few years and was a very difficult decision either way -to have another child so late in my life compared to 1st child and DH had no children). I was off the pill for a while so we had been using condoms...and just stopped using them and after one cycle, i was pregnant. i thought since other people over 35 had trouble, it would take at least 6 months but not for me. Guess i am pretty fertile :) When i told DH, it was on a text message (pic of the pregnancy test). He texted me he felt excited and scared and his body went numb!! hahahahhaa

You know it might be pregnancy-brain, but I guess I should have written this one down... You would think that it would really stick out in your mind...

The funny thing is that the first time I got pregnant really does stick out in my mind.

We had decided that we were not going to have any more kids, DH had his vasectomy scheduled for early December and we were happy with the 3 kiddos we have.

Well we actually found out that we were having baby #2 on DD's birthday.

DH and I had been so sick with the stomach flu, which lasted for days. I was late but contributed it to my body fighting off the flu. So I expected once I was better that my period would show. But after we finally got over the flu, still no show. So around midnight(I couldn't sleep) on the day of DD's birthday I took a pregnancy test. Didn't expect for it to tell me I was pregnant.

I had severe endometriosis and was told I couldn't get pregnant without help. So when that digital pregnancy test told me I was pregnant, I was shocked to say the least. DH was asleep but I woke him up and showed him the test. I think he was too tired to really grasp what I showed him because he just fell back to sleep. LOL It took us a little under three years to conceive this one compared to the 7 years it took to conceive DD.

My DH is going to have the same thing for the same reason. I wish it had already been done (like in the last 2 weeks) but at this point, I am not sure if I feel comfortable with him being less than 100% if the baby decides to come early. I guess we will wait until after the baby is born.

I always considered my first one to be my "miracle baby" because of the severity of the endo... less so for the subsequent pregnancies, since my understanding is that
