I am STILL nursing!

I nursed my first son for 8 months also BUT ....True is different than my first in that at night, usually around 9 or 10pm, he stares me down while crying...thats when I know he WANTS ME!

I am still nursing Abbie about every 4 or 5 hours during the day and multiple times at night.. I bf my last DD until 16 months and Abbie will probably end up being the same way :) Don't mind since she is probably my last and she's almost 8 months old..feels so weird to say that my baby is 8 months..wow..

I think that is great that you are both still nursing. Congratulations! I am not nursing. I honestly don't remember when I stopped, probably around 3 months. My little one has bad allergies so she is on a hypoallergenic formula.

Still nursing and suspect I will be for a couple years to come (both my older girls nursed well past their 3rd birthdays).

We just started solids about a month ago, and she so far has really liked eating a bit too. I don't really keep track of how often she's nursing ... just nurse her when she wants to nurse or when I think she needs to nurse. Probably every 3-4 hours (sometimes sooner). Since I have classes 3 days a week, I leave her with my MIL for about 4 hours at a time on MWF, and she does take expressed breastmilk via bottles at that time, although she doesn't always take as much as I think she should during the time I'm gone.

She's not a big overnight nurser. We do cosleep, and I have noticed that she's waking and crying a bit more at night (but sometimes falls asleep before I ever get her latched on and most the time only nurses very briefly before she's asleep again). I'd guess she's working on her first tooth.

This one definitely doesn't nurse like my first 2 did, so she might wean earlier than 3, but I certainly hope she makes it to age 2. Not nursing until at least her 1st birthday is a non option. Hopefully we don't have any nursing strikes but if we do, I'll work with her to get her back to nursing.

So far, so good ...
