I have a garage full of stuff that I hate to throw out, or just give away because I spend money like its water, and a lot of the stuff is brand new.

Check to see if your town does a city wide one.. If not pick a weekend when its nicer out and plan on starting early.. 6 or 7am

Not sure where you live but here in eastern NC, people are already taking advantage of the warm days we have been having and setting up their yard sales.

I live in TX and have already seen some Yard sales going on. Its already spring here so I would say if its already nice go for it! And advertise on craigslist, my friend did that and had a few of her 'bigger' items sold a few days before the sale! Good luck!

I agree with the others and if you can afford it, I'd definitely advertise it if you do it on a day different than the community yard sale (if there is one). My mom is a huge yard sale fan and she'll map out her plan for the day the day before and leave the house early in the morning and spend her whole morning at yard sales.

I don't have much new to add, but thought I'd comment anyway!

Thanks for the advice! I went through Zoë's stuff today and I can't wait to have the yard sale! I'll let you know how it all turns out! Thanks again for the advice!
