Hello ladies. So here's the short version... Bruce arrived at 9:02 am this morning. He's 4 lbs 14 oz and 17 and 3/4 inches long. He was working a little harder than they liked breathing, so he's hanging out in the NICU for a bit. Hopefully it won't be too long, but they said he had some fluid in his lungs, so we'll see.

Congrats on your little peanut, Stacey! Wow, they were really close on predicting his weight. Sounds like you've had a tough day of it though. I hope that Bruce's stay in the NICU is short and sweet.

Thanks everyone! Carrie - I was actually measuring right on target for my weeks, so catching the low fluid was just lucky when they went to make sure he had flipped to head down at my 35 week appointment.

We just got back to my room from the NICU and Bruce is doing great. They had him in the heated isolate and now he is in a regular bassinet. They also had a CPAP on him for a bit, but now he's completely oxygen free. Hopefully he'll stay that way through the night and tomorrow. The doctor I spoke with this evening said that once he's off the oxygen for 24 hours, we can bring him home (assuming no other issues come up). :) They haven't even talked about discharging me yet, so it's nice to think Bruce won't be far behind me as long as things continue to go well.
