My intro - expecting #11

Greetings!

I'm excited & hopeful to be posting here!

I am due June 5th. This is my 17th pregnancy. I have 10dc (incl my step son). The dc range from age 28-2.5. Oh and I am 43.

I had a miscarriage this past spring... and am hoping this baby goes to term and I can hold him or her in my arms.

I have 8 boys and 2 girls and my youngest 4 are boys 8, 6, 4, and 2. They keep me busy.

I have home schooled for 18yrs now.

I extended nurse and tandem nurse at times. Currently my 2.5yos is still nursing.

We cloth diaper and I love my cloth lady pads too.

I am planning my 6th home birth and 8th VBAC.

I ALWAYS go post dates and most of my babies are over 10# and no I don't have GD... just grow them big.

We have a *homestead* and raise dairy goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, guineas, pigs, and rabbits... plus have 6 cats & 4 dogs. We have a big garden. I cook from scratch, can, and make cheese and yogurt. I am learning to knit & quilt.

I look forward to getting to know all of you as we progress through our pregnancies.

Right now I am a bit nervous... my m/c this past spring and the only symptoms I have so far are frequent urination, exhaustion, and falling asleep at 9PM... oh and no nausea yet... but becoming more jittery if I go too long without protein.

Wow! You are a busy woman! Congratulations on your BFP! I love that you have dairy goats-my son couldn't have cow's milk for a while so he was on goat's milk-it got to be so expensive that DH started saying we would have to get a goat to save money:)

Welcome and congrats! I appreciated the encouragement you offered me. BTW--it's neat that you can and garden...I am just getting into gardening. I grew my first 'real garden' this summer and loved the fresh veggies almost every evening! I'm not sure now with the little one expected in the spring...my love and daughter might have to bear more of the gardening load this upcoming year! LOL

Take advantage of your helpers for the garden... absolutely. I'll do the planning and likely only the scatter planting next year. That is what I am doing now. We are just finishing up getting our fall/winter garden in. I have some lettuce that should be ready for picking in a week... that will be nice... I love salads with a nice sour dressing. Right now though I have a laundry basket of peppers to pickle. LOL
