Does anyone have any suggestions for clipping LO's nails?

I have been using a nail file this whole time but Angie has started to refuse to let me do it.

Clip them when she is asleep! It makes it so much easier. They are also softer and easier to cut after a bath.

We have to do Bruce's while he is asleep, otherwise he pulls his hands away and fights us holding his hands.

I wish I could do Angie's nails while she sleeps. But the only place she sleeps now is in her crib and there is no way I could get to her hands without waking her up. I'm jealous that you both have that option - it makes sense.
She used to let me file them after she had her bottle and she didn't mind sitting in my lap for a few minutes. But she has become too independent and doesn't want to be held still anymore.

Can you do them when your DH is around? He can do things to distract her so that she does' notice you clipping her nails. You might not be able to clip them all at the same time, but it's better that not clipping them at all.

Zaydren is horrible about this! Can't do it when he's sleeping either because he pulls them back too lol! Do it while in the bath. He's contained and able to do it and if he moves he's trying to exit which works better! LOL

Just want to update to say I have found a solution - I don't do them at all :)
Somehow DH has no issues with cutting Angie's nails. I think he is just better at holding her still and not giving in to her complaints. But it is now his responsibility to clip her nails.

Hahaha! Love your solution! Of course, my DH would probably chop off a finger or two in the process, so I still do the kids nails - although Jesse would love to do his own.
