Hi,

Anyone else have a thumbsucker? Curious what you put on the thumb to relieve raw-ish areas? I'm fine with the thumbsucking but her poor thumb has red spots (doesn't help that she has eczema that appears on and off). Since she only sucks the one... you can imagine.

I was thinking about Lansinoh HPA Lanolin but wasn't sure if that would work on the thumb (since I didn't/am not BF'ing I'm not 100% on the 'ok in the mouth' aspect, especially at a high quantity with thumbsucking).

Any suggestions would be great and appreciated!

I don't have any suggestions as to what to put on her thumb to help, but I thought I'd comment that the Lansinoh Lanolin is safe for babies to "ingest" because it is safe for nursing mothers to use on their nipples before/after nursing without washing it off.

I've heard people using the Lanolin for other stuff and suggesting for that and I would use it as well. I'd try to get her to switch up some or to try other things too to give it some relief at times too.
