I have a history of preterm labor so I'm on bed rest for the next 12 weeks.

Oh I'm sorry Erica! My friend was on bedrest from about 20 weeks to the end. I know that she felt like she was crawling the walls by the end of it. Although she found she became REALLY creative. ;) A plus side I suppose. Knitting, scrapbooking, reading, etc. I hope yours goes by quickly! We're always here to chat it up with you! :)

I was on bedrest with the my twins from 26 weeks until I had them at 36 weeks. It was definitely tough. I made my baby girl lots of bows, scrapbooked about my pregnancy, learned how to embroider - hats, blankets, etc., read books. Just keep the end goal in mind and you can do it. ;-)

i'm on "take it easy" (hahaha) for now...waiting for the bed rest word to drop any minute...history of preterm labor with both my children...on bed rest for about 10 weeks with one (preterm baby around 33 weeks) and 20 weeks with the other (he made it to 39 weeks - but not without a few hospital stays to halt labor)...19 weeks now...sadly any day now...my cervix is already shortening...next week will be the "true test" as its cervix has lost approx. 1 cm in the last 3 weeks and if it loses more i'm there:(

Count me in. Actually, I'm on modified bedrest and have been for a few weeks. I'll probably be on some form of bedrest for the rest of this pg. Doc doesn't want me over-exerting myself so most of my days are spent on the couch. My back starts hurting if I'm doing somethign as simple as dishes anyway, so it's a good thing. We briefly talked about it at my appt on Thursday and he said to keep doing nothing...so while it's not officially prescribed, I think the precautions we've been taking from the beginning will be upheld. I've known since we found out that we're having triplets that by 20 weeks I'd have a stricter rest requirement. He also put me on a weekly progesterone injection that we started this week that's supposed to help prevent PTL. While I haven't found anything that shows it's helpful for multiples, it's just another precaution. How many weeks are you?

I had to leave my job in May due to a move out of state so I don't think I qualify.

Hey Kim...I know if you have prescribed bedrest, in some cases, they'll send your DH home to stay with you, especially if you don't have anyone to help you. I know it's not officially prescribed yet but if it ever does and no one is there to help you, keep that in mind.

I'm worried about bedrest since I'm having twins. I'm excited about the nice long maternity leave I have planned and have saved up so many sick days for this moment. I'd hate to have to use them up on bedrest :(
