Cloth diapers, anyone?

I'm thinking of using them and went to a cool store to check them out today. However, they have about 4-5 very different styles and I need some advice. Have any of you used these before? I wanted to do this with my first two kids but my first husband and my mom really discouraged me. My second husband is very into the environment and all over the cloth. I just worry it might get too complicated for me in the middle of the night to diaper two at once with the liners and all that.

I think we're going to give it a go this time.
If your looking for ease at night look for AIO (all in ones) or maybe pocket diapers. If you have them set up then they just snap on like any other disposable. I like prefolds for over night my sons much older so there's no nighttime changing and they hold all night. But for frequent nighttime changes I'd say try those. I was someone who wanted "one size to fit all" if you will when it came to the diapers but I realized that different diapers are good for different times and some are easier than others. I like them and will be using them again with this little one. :)
We used prefolds and love them and I'm definitely planning on doing so again and making sure we continue after the baby grows a little. The prefolds were GREAT for holding in all the newborn mess and we never once had any blow outs like we did with disposables.
Overall, pocket diapers were my favorite 'style'. And my favorite diaper by far was the Happy Heiny mini. It fit my daughter all the way from 5.5 pounds to 8+ months (can't remember exactly when we retired it).
We use cloth.. Mainly pockets because my husband loves them.. Here is an email we use on the cloth diaper group to give people the basics..

I did cloth from 3-6 months with my daughter but I was the only one in my family who would put them on her.
I just wanted to share a link with you to the Diapering board here on iVillage. The board is a great place to find more information and feedback from other ladies that cloth diaper. They have a lot of experience and I'm sure they'd love to see you there. Best of luck deciding on the best option for your situation!

I also use gDiapers as my travel/laundry back up and like those too. I definitely recommend cloth. Check out www.diaperpin.com for info and a ton of cloth diaper vendors online. Also most local stores have cloth diaper classes offered so you can learn about the different styles and how to use them. Check with your store.
