Have you given any thought as to who will be in the delivery room with you?

I should hope my husband but he may not be home in time...in which case, I guess it'll just be me and whatever nurse and Dr. that is there... :( I am hoping that is not the scenerio but it's a really good chance.

Just my fiance. I feel thet giving birth is a private and emotional moment that should be kept between the mother and the father.

Besides, I really don't want eevryone to see my whole body. Some things are meant to be seen by my faince alone. lol.

Just me and DH. This time I am having a scheduled c-section, but last time it was just us also.
Boy/girl twins, Ethan Neil and Gracyn Marie were born January 7, 2010!

It really doesnt bother me to have people in the room, with my first we had alot of people there because no one in my family until me has ever had a vaginal birth, so my mom and grandma were there, and mil and sil becuase we are very close, and this time like that last two it will be open to my mom and mil if they are available. I go natural, and having people there calms me and keeps my mind off the pain. I think a hubby and wife should agree on it. It is the birth of both thier babies, but I think if one thinks it to be private affair, then they should have presedent. I do keep the visiters to just siblings after the baby is born though at the hospital and as long as dh is off work, which is usually not more than a couple days.

Katie, I coudln't agree more! With DS it was a sechduled c-section so only DH was allowed anyway (but I didn't want anyone else either). Before I even went into the recovery room, my MIL and her mother were ALREADY there, in my normal room that I hadn't even gotten to yet. It actually made me really upset. I hadn't even had a chance to hold my little man yet, and they were there waiting to hold him. Thankfully DH stepped up and kicked them out and I had a little time as just a family. I think at least a few hours without visitors is really important, at least to me. The only exception I would make is if someone was bringing my son to come visit his little sister when the time comes, but I consider that our family.
