Have any tricks for getting your baby to sleep? You nurse them? Rock them?

Aria likes to lay on her tummy on my chest and have her back patted. She also loves the bouncer seat with vibration and white noise. At night I swaddle her tightly with arms down to the sides to help her sleep longer. I also put on white noise for her at night. She has been sleeping 4 hours at night so I think it helps!

I am following the "Baby Whisperer's" advice and I put DS down after about an hour. I swaddle him and hold and/or rock him for a couple of minutes while I wait for his eyes to get heavy/start to close and then lie him in his bed while still kind of awake (he takes a paci). We also use a white noise machine (http://www.amazon.com/Conair-SU1W-Sound-Therapy-Silver/dp/B000F54AN8/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1322919989&sr=8-3-fkmr0)

Baby Whisperer suggests the EASY plan (Eat, Activity, Sleep, You time). When baby wakes you feed him and then the activity piece is changing, bathing, playtime, etc.

DS has a cry that he does has he falls asleep that lasts about 10-15 minutes (Baby Whisperer calls it a "mantra cry") and then he's out.

I can't wait until he's able to be awake for longer than an hour (suggested for his age)! It's such a short amount of time to feed, change, bath and get some play time with him!

Here's a link to the book I'm following:

Then, as baby gets older, I recommend this one:

I've followed these for all the kids and love it! It's the next best thing to a "manual", lol.

I'll tell you what does not work & that's bribery. Which is probably a good thing because if it did work then I'd owe Autumn a luxury car & $500 weekly allowance. LOL
Seriously, after I feed her, I hold her upright against my chest for a bit while I sing to her. Once she falls asleep, I hold her on her back & then put her down & swaddle her.
