I guess it depended on the child for me. I really liked Pampers when Kelsey was a baby, they seemed to be the only ones that her well. With Aiden, I tried out Luvs and loved the price and they worked great. With Rian, I tried both Pampers and Luvs and they both gave him horrible diaper rashes, so at last straw, I tried Huggies and they were his secret. :)

With this one, I want to try cloth but DH would like to start off with disposable until after the newborn phase and I'm not sure which one I'll try first...probably Pampers.

Interested to hear what the other BTDT Moms have to say. :)

In my opinion, the absolute best are either Pampers Swaddlers or the Huggies Deluxe ( can't remember what their actual name is).
The less expensive versions of Pampers & Huggies are fine, but don't contain leaks/blow outs as well & aren't as cushy. And I think Luvs & Target brand are just as good as the less expensive versions.

DS was in cloth for the newborn stage until about 2 to 3 months when he outgrew the infant size and we just never moved up. After that he got huggies and they work really well for him, but I've never really had a problem with other brands. Huggies were just the cheapest huge box I could buy at costco :) He's worn other store brands (target, and costco) and pampers and done just fine in all of them.

I liked Pampers best for newborns, and until they reach about size 3.

I love Pampers and hardly use anything else, especially when he was a newborn. Swaddlers were great with the line that changes color when they are wet. Swaddlers are so soft and I think smell the best/contain the leaks. I hated Huggies they did not fit well on DS at all. Target brand is pretty good for off brand. I never tried luves.

I use the pampers awareness for newborn and stage 1. Then move on to the $5 Aldi brand after that:)

With my experience, it really depends on the shape of the baby. Everyone I know used huggies and gave me them fo rmy baby shower etc. Then when I had the girls huggies just leaked everywhere so I used the pampers because thats what they had in the hospital and never had another leak. But like both my sister and dh's sisters kids leaked bad with pampers.

We only use Huggies at home. I've tried Pampers and Luvs as well, but for some reason I always have blowouts and teh tabs on the Pampers have ripped off numerous times.

With DS, I used Pampers Swaddlers and then Cruisers. Eventually we had to go to Huggies Overnights with a Diaper Doubler for night time. He would leak if we did anything less at night time!
