Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on starting a registry for a 2nd child.

I think it's a great idea, especially if family wants to buy things for baby, they can have something to pick from. :) We started a registry but not for family buying anything, just so we had a list of items we had reviewed, looked at and wanted and we can check things slowly off the list and we can see what we still need to get. It's a great idea all around. :)

Go ahead! Start another registry for the things you need and leave some unimportant things off the list. This will give family an idea of what you still have a need for.

I'm starting a registry for #3, but mostly just to get coupons in the mail. I'm not having a shower or expecting many gifts this time around! But I don't think there's anything wrong with starting one at all!

Absolutely! Ditto to what's already been said. :-)

I would say, go for it, but don't advertise or have a shower. You're right, you'lll just get a bunch of expensive newborn outifts if you don't register for what you really need. Family will buy the stuff on your list and take care of you.

I did a registry for this one also. I don't think its a bad thing. A large part of it is mostly for us to keep a list of things we will need. The bigger things, like a double stroller, I don't expect others to buy for us. But I'm putting little things on it too and if people want to shop from it more power to them! Especially since we're going from a little boy to a little girl this time :) Somethings do need to change.

I think it's totally okay.
