So I know docs says to wait, mine said 6 weeks. How long did you all really wait?? Also she specifically mentioned no penetration, but did not say no orgasm....hmmm

I'm only 4 weeks post partum but there is no way we doing anything besides cuddling until another 4-6 weeks. :) I'm so terrified of messing with anything down there after my 3rd degree tearing.

I think it depends how the baby was born. With my first, vaginal with tearing and stitches, we waited 6wks. With my 2nd, c-section, we waited around 2wks but didn't get "back to it" really for a few more weeks. This time we will probably also wait a few weeks depending on how I feel and if I'm still bleeding. I wouldn't say 6wks is iron clad if you're ready and start slow. ;)

I just had RJ a few days ago. I was told by my doctor that nothing goes inside until after my 6 week appt. So everything else is fair game ;)
Five years ago with my DD we waited til the bleeding was over, which was waaaaay before 6 weeks.

With DS we waited 5 weeks, but I had 2nd degree tearing with him and was very nervous about the pain factor. This time I am only 2 weeks post pardum and am about done bleeding. We probably will wait at least 4 weeks, but most likely not 6. I did not tear at all the time, so I am pretty ready once the bleeding stops. We have both been so tired at night that sex has not really been on the radar at all, plus with baby in our room it just does not seem like good timing, I am probably moving her to the nursery next week so maybe after that.

Lo is 7 wks still no sex more so cause not on bc yet and he wont wear a condom lol

I has a vaginal birth with stitching, I'm ready like ASAP, but i don't want to mess anything up down there. It'a only been 2 weeks I guess i can wait a few more.

I plan to wait until I stop bleeding, week 2 and it's still present. Blah. And I plan to get a Mirena asap.

We're probably waiting very close to the 6 week mark. I'm always really cautious with the c-section. But to be honest, I haven't even thought about it. I'm just so tired all the time now and the baby is in the room with us. As soon as I lay her down in the bassinet, she starts whimpering and it's not exactly conductive to the mood.
