This must be a product that came out after my younger son got bigger.

Both my last two loved these. Its a great way for them to play on the floor sitting up and grabbing for toys etc. But you do have to be careful becuase when they get big enough they can tip them forward and back so make sure they are always on the floor.

I loved the one my daughter used when she was between 3-6 months old and too little for the high chair.

I had one for my 3rd and loved it. It assisted him in sitting up on his own and I use to put it in the kitchen with me while cooking and he loved watching me move around and he could play with spoons, etc. Like the others said, great way for them to sit and play and it's a great little highchair on the go for like picnics or camping, etc. :)

They are great. We used ours for both kids as babies, and as booster seats at the table. They don't last forever though...the top layer is peeling off of ours. They just aren't as durable as they seem.

I am of the opposite opinion.

We love ours. My daughter would use it just to sit and play. We ended up buying the tray for it too, so we could put her toys in front of her. She's 7 months old and still likes to sit in it. Its also handy to take to restaurants that don't have boosters for the booths.

Most people I know loved their Bumbos but my daughter didn't like hers and we barely used it. She was a chunky monkey and wasn't comfortable in it at all.

I don't have experience with them but am glad to read the different opinions. We registered for them, but also found one at a garage sale for $3 so you certainly don't have to go full price on them...they are kinda pricey!

My twins started using them at 2 months and out grew them at about 15 months (although we rarely used them past 8 months). When they were really little we would put the trays on and they would sit and play with their toys. When they got older we just used them for portable highchairs. They are small and easy to clean which is nice.

Katie,

I'm glad you asked that question because my cousin registered for one and i wasn't sure what the purpose of it was. I put one one my registry just in case, but if I don't get it, i will be ok. Seems a lot of people like them.
