Hey ladies, so we brought meadow home today. I have a question...so the past 2 days she's been eating every 3-5 hours pretty regular, then this am started eating a much larger quantity of formula and much more frequent intervals. Can they cluster feed for a growth spirit this early?? TIA

Yes often a growth spurt happens shortly after they get home to make up the weight they lost. This is why pediatricians check them at 2 weeks old to see if there weight is back at or above birth weight. Sounds right on track to me.

I agree with Katy. Sounds perfectly normal to me.

Yeah, DS #2 was like that for a few weeks after we brought him home. I'd feed him, change him, get him settled back down & like 5 minutes later he'd want to eat again. I thought I'd never sleep again. But, that phase passed.

Yes, I think it's pretty common for them to want to cluster feed when they're a few days old. I have formula on hand just in case I need it. In my previous experience, my DD just needed 1/2 oz. more to satisfy her. It didn't affect my supply at all either. Good luck and yay for bringing baby home! :)
