Well, I got them at 35 weeks last time I was pregnant. They started yesterday afternoon for me this time.

Seriously... This was my biggest worry about getting pregnant again. And here it is, half way through.

What did they do?

I got them in labor.. So bad that they told me I wouldn't have a problem healing vaginally but the hemorrhoids were going to be an issue. I thought they went away and now I have them already.. I'm dreading it.. HATE this..

Girl, I got them with my 1st pregnancy, had them through my 2nd and 3rd and now they are a permanent fixture...I have issues when I'm not pregnant. Talk about ewww and ouch and this stinks! I guess I'll have to have something done about it after the 4th is born.

I had them in my last pregnancies, been fortunate so far (surprisingly--since I've been so backed up lately). Hope you find something that works, not sure what the proctologist does. Have you ever tried the suppositories for them?

Yesterday he just gave me something to shrink them. But after a 2nd miserable night of no sleep, I called this morning, because instead of one, I NOW have 3!!!

It sounds like yours are worse than mine. Mine certainly aren't comfortable and I can have a good month where I don't have a problem with them but I've had them since my first pregnancy. I use a lot of OTC creams and tucks pads. Eventually I'll have to have them surgically removed but like I said, I need to wait until after this little one is born. It's super embarrassing though. I hope you get relief!!

I got them with my 2nd pregnancy and have been dealing with them off and on ever since... Yours must be a lot worse than mine, I feel horrible for you :(

When I get one I just use Preparation H cream, and that takes care of it almost immediately.

Good luck, I hope you get some relief soon!

Thanks for bringing this up! Thank goodness we have a support system here for the crazy things that we can't share anywhere else! I have actually had hemorroids for years, even when I'm not pregnant, maybe twice a year or something. But I was suprised to have them so badly so early in this pregnancy also :(

Well, I went back to the Dr yesterday and he cauterized them. They had blood clots in them. (Ew! TMI!) It seems I don't have any middle ground with them. Tucks and Preparation H do NOTHING for what I've got.

However, now that he cut them and cauterized them, I feel so much better. Sure I will be a tiny bit sore for a few days, but at least I was able to sleep last night!
