**Copied from my facebook post a couple of days ago....

Quick birth story, since that is how the whole thing went anyway. Tuesday night my back was hurting like I had a kidney infection. So we went in to Labor and Delivery. They said it was just muscle stretching and it was normal. But Wednesday I was still hurting so I changed my regular OB appointment from Thursday to Wednesday. They did a regular growth ultrasound at that appointment. A couple of the baby's measurements were much smaller than they should be. His femur was measuring at 32 weeks. So my OB sent me to the high risk maternal fetal specialist. They did another ultrasound. And almost every measurement was around 32 weeks. The specialist said that he felt that either the placenta wasn't working correctly anymore, or there was something genetically wrong with the baby. Either way, it was safer for him to be delivered that day. So we got sent straight from the specialist to L&D to get checked in and start the induction. They used cervidil for 12 hours overnight. His heart rate stayed good overnight. When they started pitocin the next day, it looked like he was handling labor well. Then everything goes kind of fuzzy for me. They gave me a dose of IV pain killer so I was a little loopy anyway. What I remember was them flipping me from side to side, back and forth, the doctors telling me to turn this way and that way, with an epidural. I couldn't turn to save my soul. They wouldn't tell me what was going on. And then I remember being in the operating room. In about 10 minutes David was born via emergency c section. The funny part I remember is my doctor peeking over the blue sheet telling me, "Okay, we've got you put back together." After the c-section they took me back to the recovery room. I didn't get to see David right away, but I got to hear him cry, and my husband took a few quick pictures. He's in the NICU now. The doctor's are saying he will probably be there for 2 or 3 weeks. He is stable and improving though. They took him off the breathing assisting stuff, and took out his IV today. So that is a good sign. He is so little though. He weighed in at 4lbs 7oz.

I totally feel the same way about the FB group. I am trying to keep posting but I just don't want to go to FB.
