So, how many newborn outfits are you buying and how many 0-3?

I think I only have 2 or 3 items that are newborn. Most is 0-3 and 3-6 months. I know I need more though.

I'm not sure what I'll be buying and what I already have. If I end up with a boy, I really won't need much of anything since my son was born at the same time of year. If it's a girl, I'll end up getting some new stuff.

As for NB versus 0-3, I think I got 2 or 3 NB outfits but kept the tags on--that way I can do an easy xchange once baby arrives. I feel like Carters NB only goes to 8lb. Boutique stuff always runs small.

And a word of advice for those that don't know this--I love Target brand Circo clothing but it runs VERY small! As do the Gerber onesies and undershirts.

DD was very tiny at birth (5lbs 6oz) so I have a TON of NB and 0-3mth stuff that Charlotte should be able to wear! I think I have atleast 10-12 NB onesies and 8 NB sleepers. I have a handful of 0-3mth onesies and sleepers too, but

Originally with my son everyone told me not to bother with newborn stuff as they never wear it. Well he was born 6 lbs 8 oz so we had to go out and get him newborn stuff and he still swam in that! My daughter was almost 8 lbs so she wore newborn for a little bit and then went into 0-3 months. We still have all the kids clothes, so I have enough of each for whatever this one needs. Which is a fair few onesies, sleepers, pants, etc.

I have 5 newborn onesies and will probably buy a package of newborn sleepers.

DD was on the small side to begin with (6 lbs 11 oz) and then had a tough time gaining weight so she was in newborn clothes for at least 2 months. I'm not anticipating that this LO will be huge, plus I find the sizing of most items quite generous so this LO will be in all newborn clothes initially.

When my first was born I had one pack of newborn onesies (3 total) and that was IT in that size.

I didn't find that gerber or carters ran big but I had a short little chunk. She was 8 lbs 4 oz but only 19 inches. She fit in newborn onesies for like 3 months. But, I mostly just put her in 0-3 because that's what I had!

The problem I had with both of the girls was that they were long.

My DD was born 7 lbs 10 oz, but went home from the hospital in premie sized clothes! We ended up buying a bunch of NB stuff after she was born, because everyone said "Don't bother with the NB size, they don't wear them" but DD sure did for a while!

Sadly, I gave away most of my NB / 0-3 month clothes to my sister when she had her twin girls! I've ended up buying about 11 onesies, maybe 4 or 5 pairs of paints, a cotton sleeper, I think 2 fleece sleepers, 3 sleep dress things, and a pack of socks - I need more socks!!! LOL

0-3 I don't even KNOW what I have right now! I'm not gonna worry too much about it though because I know my mom will buy a bunch of stuff if need be. And 3-6 I'm sure will be covered at Christmas time!

I think this one might be small too, at both ultrasounds she's been measuring about a week behind but my tummy is right on schedule!
