Vent--My brother the freaking genuis

I can't even imagine how hard this is for your parents. Obviously your brother needs to get some help, and I guess since he won't be working he will have lots of time to think about what he has done. Alcoholism is an evil for sure. My DH's father is a recovering alcoholic and I know it definitely ruined DH's childhood. It has definitely affected his relationship with both of his parents even 14 years after he left their home.
