When I feel a need information on something, I am a reader. And investigator, self educator.

On that note can I just say it is hard to find current info on adoption at times? I am so glad I found this board, before this one I found some... most had outdated posts from 2004 or earlier that no one populates anymore. as for books I went to chapters (like a borders books) and could find almost nothing on adopting- so sad! I was able to purchase "The everything guide to adoption" and I also bought a really good book called Quirky Kids (my eldest son has Magic chromosomes) so that was a good read and may be applicable in the future.

So then I finally bit the bullet , splurged and ordered some books:

Twenty Things Adopted Kids Wish Their Adoptive Parents Knew

Attaching in Adoption:Practical Tools for Today's Parents

Our Own: Adopting and Parenting the older child

Adopting the Hurt Child:hope for Families with Special-Needs Kids Guide for Parents and Professionals

Parenting the Hurt Child: Helping Adoptive Families Heal and Grow

Any good books or Internet info you can recommend for me?

I remember from your last post that you said you are from Alberta, and I know what you mean about not being able to find any books on adoption. I have looked in countless bookstores for books on adoption myself, and have almost always come out empty-handed. It's really frustrating when these places have books on what seems like every topic under the sun, but when it comes to adoption, you can't find anything. Every single time I see a Coles, Indigo, Chapters, etc. I go in just to see if they have anything, but they never do-- Your not alone there!

I hope the books you ordered end up being good ones!
