Started adoption March 2008
Eeeekkkk! Tomorrow is the day!
As far as behavior in front of potential birthmom, I think a part of them is happy to see us soooo happy. They see the immediate love, desire and unconditional emotions you have for their baby and this helps them know how loved and wanted this baby is for you. They WANT their baby to be kisses and loved and snuggled and cared for. Sooo ... don't feel like you have the "keep everything in check."
At the same time, your joy and gift comes at the expense of her pain and loss, so I think it is important to acknowledge and respect this. While I can NEVER understand what our birthmoms' went thru, I try to also show gratitude and respect to "B" & "K."
