Hello everyone - we just had our second failed attempt at adoption, and I have no idea what happened.

First take a deep breath and then take some time to heal. Then pick yourself up, brush yourself off and start again. For us the 3rd time was the charm. Also look back and see what red flags might have been missed so hopefully it won't happen again.

((hugs))
I am so sorry.

We were matched with a bmom for 6 months and it fell through the week before the baby was due. I was devasted.
2 months later I was started to heal and met a woman (on this board actually!!) that said she was pregnant and wanted us to adopt the baby.

I am so sorry to see this news ... while it isn't over until it's *over" I know things don't look good right now for this baby to be *your* baby.

UGH! I am so terribly sorry to hear this! I agree with the other boardies to take some time to grieve this loss. We too have been there, unfortunately. We had several mis-matches with our worst being a drive to and from PA without a baby in June 2009. A month later, we were matched with Sophia's birthmother and had Sophia 3 weeks later. The adoption journey is a tough one, and I'm sorry yours has so many bumps in the road. James and I have become convinced that we were used to force decisions of other people in our mis-matches. An aunt adopted 1 child, Youthville placed 1 child, SRS stepped up for 1 child and finally, a birthmother decided to keep her child over her boyfriend's wishes. There is a reason for these decisions, it's not for us to agree with or even understand, but when it's your baby, God will make it work regardless of time, place, finances or broken hearts!!!

Hang in there! Come to the board for support! It'll all be worth it once you're rocking your child in their room.
