You just never know when a nursing mom is going to need to stop to pump. It could be while she's out for dinner, during a trip to the mall or -- especially when you factor in delays -- at the airport.
And while it's easy to nurse in public, we can’t say we’ve ever spotted a woman pumping in the middle of a restaurant -- which means that you’ll end up in a public restroom. Gross. So, it’s nice to know that if you happen to be traveling through Burlington International Airport in Vermont, at least, you’ll be taken care of.
NBC News reports the airport is the first in the nation to feature a “Lactation Station.” Shaped like a pod and called Mamava, the pumping/breastfeeding space has seating and enough room for a woman’s pump, luggage and stroller, plus a power outlet and table that can be folded down.
So very cool! Would you use a lactation station like this to pump while you are traveling?
