I have a 10 month old DD and she is doing great eating soilds but she has only been BF 3xs a day morning lungh and Night , with two to three seat down meals of soilid, I dont know when I plan I stopping But I have decided to quit pumping during

4 times a day is really the minimum number of nursings or bottle feedings that we'd want to see at this age. There are still lots of kids nursing way more than that too. Will she refuse if you offer more frequently or are you just not offering?


We advise not offering whole milk until after the 12 month mark.

Michelle, it really depends on your goals with regard to breastfeeding. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends breastfeeding continue as the baby’s primary source of nutrition up to at least one year. However, if your goal is to breastfeed less and work toward weaning then what you are doing will work toward that goal. Every mother has a different idea of what she wants breastfeeding to be for her and her baby. Keep in mind there are numerous advantages of continuing to breastfeed even the ‘older’ baby or toddler if that is what you’d like to do there is good reason to continue.
