Acidophilus Dosage

Does anyone know what the safe dosage of acidophilus is for a 2 year old that is 24 pounds? I have looked online and all I keep seeing is "give acidophilus" but with dosages ranging so drastically from pill to pill I'm not sure what to do.

This is actually for a diaper rash, not thrush, but I'm assuming the treatment levels would be the same.

I have some pills leftover from prior thrush treatments that I could break open that are 14 billion parts per pill, but is that too much for a toddler?

As far as I know there is no level at which acidophiles becomes harmful, even for a child. Since acidophiles is found in yogurt and since their is no limit as to how much yogurt is safe to eat, beyond of course any concern of overeating, I wouldn't worry about giving a child sized does and just give the normal dose an adult would take.
