Clogged Duct!

Hi ladies- need some advice. I have a clogged milk duct that is pretty engorged. I've been doing all the things you're supposed to do- warm compresses, changing feeding positions, feeding from affected side first, etc. I know you're supposed to feed quite often. We have all day even though dd is not happy with it. She's 9 months and sleeps 12-13 hours through the night without waking or feeding. What should I do during those hours? Should I wake up to pump? I don't want this to turn into an infection! Any ideas about what to do tonight?

Yes, definitely pump if baby doesn't want to nurse or is sleeping. 12-13 hours every night - wow!! Neither of my kids have ever slept 12-13 hours ANY night unless they've been

Thanks for your advice! This is the second time in a month and it's also coupled with a clogged pore. The first time it resolved itself faster and less painfully. I was just saying below in another discussion- I'm not sure how much I can take. It's so painful and she's also having some latch/attn issues as well. She's almost 10 months and I really wanted to make it to a year, but at this point every feeding is painful for one reason or another. I'm going to be so sad if this is the end!

On the bright side I do have a super sleeper! I've been warned by many that my next child probably won't do that :)

Thanks again the advice!
