How will I ever be able to leave her??

I really need to start doing some substitute teaching to supplement our bank account, but have NO idea how that will ever be possible! I need some serious suggestions on how to start weaning from daytime nursing. Here is my DD schedule:
wake up at 6:00 a.m., nurse/sleep until 8.
Nap at 10:30 (falls asleep nursing only, sometimes stays latched)
nurses at some point during the day, maybe 1 or 2 o'clock
Takes a 30-40 minute nap around 4:00-4:30 (only if she falls asleep while nursing)
Bedtime at 7:30 (falls asleep nursing)

And still even at almost 13 months, wakes every 2-3 hours to nurse!
She's not very interested in solids and her daily solids intake looks like today, sometimes less. - 2 bites of pureed carrots, 2 bites of pancake, 4-5 Gerber puffs, 1 tsp of avocado, 1 egg yolk

Please help! How will I ever be able to leave her with my husband from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Will she take a bottle or cup at all?

She will drink about an ounce or ounce and a half of whole milk or water out of a straw cup, but that's about it

Have you tried with breast milk? Does she do better or worse with that?

Have you ever been completely gone during a feeding time? It's hard to judge how she will do when you are not around if she knows you are nearby. As one of my friends said, if the baby can smell you - she's going to want the good stuff!

I'd suggest leaving her for a few hours through a feeding time to see how she does. Make plans to be gone for 4 to 5 hours, but be somewhere reachable just in case you

She has never had any interest in taking breast milk from anything but the breast :) I've tried many, many, many times :)

No, I never have, but I guess I will need to do that in order to test it out.I'll never know unless I try. I just don't even know where I'd go for 4-5 hours!! :) I think she'd be okay with whole milk and solids even though she's not really interested in either when I'm around.

Hey Juliana! Yeah, what a surprise! :) I've never left her and just gone out except to get my hair highlighted and that takes about 2 hours. I don't even know where I'd go for a longer period to test this out! I hate leaving her too and can't imagine being away for a whole day!!! It would be from about 6:15 until 4:30 if I were to sub - taking into account travel time. That would be about 2 nursings and 1 nap I'd be missing - the one nap that she always takes with me in the morning.

Although not directly answering your question, but suggestions on where to go for a few hours. You could go to a cafe and read a book. Or the mall and shop. Or hang out with a friend. Have a meal. Combine all of the above!
