Ok, do I have been breastfeeding for 8months, YEAH!! I went to the eye doctor today and I am having eye problems and I have an infection so he prescribed drops. Now that it's late and all the pharmacies are closed I read on the leaflet that came w/ the medicine that it's unknown if it excreted into breastmilk and I should consult w/ my doctor or pharmacist. The medicine is called zylet and the 2 ingredient names listed are Loteprednol and Tobramycin. I looked them up on safe fetus and I don't think they're good. I have taken 2 drops of the medicine and am wondering if I should continue. Wondering if there's something else I could've been prescribed. The weird thing is this was a new eye doctor and I mentioned breast feeding to him and we talked about our kids and then he prescribes this? PLEASE let me know what you think? I have soom breast milk in the freezer but, I would hate to have to pump and then dump it for days till I go back and see if the infection is gone and if it's not I could be on this longer. Should I call and see if there's another drug available? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
