My son is 9 months and has been feeding great until yesterday and today so far. He will feed great on my right side, but keeps latching and letting go off my left breast. What's the deal? I hardly ever give baby food and do not supplement or give bottles. Thanks for your help!

Hi

Most often a sudden refusal is due to pain from a tooth coming in on one side or an ear infection. Either of those sound plausible?

Thanks for your reply! I kept trying yesterday to get him to feed off my left side and finally yesterday evening he started feeding on it and now today it's been better. I am thinking my supply is low on my left side. My right side has always produced more milk. He still is not feeding very long on my left side. What should I do about the supply issue?

Hello! My little guy went through a period where he didn't want to feed on my right side. I offered it often to try and keep my supply up some, and at times such as nap time and bedtime when he was dozy
