My daughter is 11 months old. She has always been a great nurser. She has nursed at least every 2 hours since the day she was born. Many people have told me this was not normal but I always feed her when she wanted to eat. I was also used as a passy in between feedings so I spent a lot of time sitting with my daughter. I found out I was pregnant and I was still doing good with nursing her but then she started losing weight. She was sick at the time but I never noticed because she is my first and I didn't know what diarrhea. looked like in a baby. She was having diarrhea for a week before we got her weighed. The DR thought I had a low supply so she told me to give her formula. After giving 4oz my daughter was not able to take enough out of me to make me comfortable but I keep with 4oz. We got her weighed again on Monday and she lost more weight. The DR said that I had to give her more because I must have a low supply. I know my supply is not low because I am always full. I was thinking that maybe I am missing something in my diet and there is not enough in my milk. I get plenty of dairy as that is all I drink. I also eat tons of cheese. What elts is important in my diet that I could be missing or is there something elts that could be wrong?
