Hello, my name is Melissa, I am part of the August Honeybee's board.
Melissa, is your concern only around pumping output or do you feel like you have a supply dip overall?
Did you know the average mom can pump 1-3 ounces per session? So your output is actually just fine. Can you tell us some more about how often you pump, how often baby gets bottles, etc.?
Also, how many times per day are you nursing?
Hang in there!
Melissa I agree that pumping 2oz per pump session is a great output for the pump at one year of age. Pump volumes typically dip as the baby gets older but that is not a reflection of what the baby gets at the breasts at all. Babies are better at extracting the milk than a pump is.
I work full time and need to pump to send milk with him to day care.
