Q about qty of EBM for DC

Hello ladies. I have a couple of quick (I think LOL) questions. My DS is 8 months old and is well into solids (two stage two jars at school and sometimes one at home plus cereal), but how much EBM does he need at daycare at this age? He gets two meals at school and I've been sending (3) 4 oz bottles a day. That's how much he was getting before solids. Can I start sending less? He nurses before DC and once in the evening after DC.

Also, sometimes I'm a little short of 12 oz. Is it bad to add a little water (1/2 oz per bottle) to EBM so he's still getting 12 oz. I know you can't water down formula, but does it hurt if you do it with EBM? I figured it's no different than giving him 1.5 oz of water in a sippy cup and they can get a little water at this age, right?

Lastly, I had been taking Fenu pills

I think it’s ok to try to use less ebm at dc. Certainly at this age the baby should be able to take some water or watered-down juices from a sippy cup at day care to get enough liquids.

Thanks! I think I'll continue to add a little water. I do it mostly to appease DH and DC teachers. They would all flip if he was getting LESS than when he was younger. I had

If you are worried about your supply, one thing you can try is when you have your weekend, or days off, just do lots and lots of nursing. Frequent sessions, and even pump a bit after each one. That can help boost it. That is how I kept going for the coming week.
