Recurrent blocked ducts

So, I am one of the people who has recurrent plugged ducts. I have had it happen on both breasts, in a couple of areas on each. My question is can you have a persistent "cord" on a breast where you had a plugged duct? I have an area on my right breast in the central top portion that feels a bit cord-like. I was feeling it last night and it almost feels like a lump closer in towards the nipple, but it does extend up and it all feels a little lumpy, like fat. I do not have a milk blister and it is not "flared" up now nor is it particularly tender. Can a duct remain "swollen" or prominent after it has been plugged or should it have totally resolved?

I'm not sure of the answer to your question but have you tried a lecithin supplement? It's been a lifesaver for many of our moms around here.
