Hi Ladies, this is my second time posting but I lurk every time I pump other wise I go in to a withdrawal:)
DS is now 61/2 months and he has been taking about 4 bottles(4oz each) while I am @ work. and I usually nurse him at around 7pm and he STTN. we started solids 2 weeks ago which he liked a lot. we have been giving him about a table spoon twice a day ( cereal with BM and fruits). In the last week or so his BM intake has went way down. He is only taking about 8 oz - 12oz during the day and he nurses twice during the night. We saw his Pedi 2 days ago for his 6 month WCC and he weighs 16.6lbs and 271/4 inches tall. At 4 months he weighed 15.8lbs. what am I doing wrong? should I stop giving him solid food? BTW he has enough wet diapers so far but I am concern about sudden decrease of his milk intake. Thank you for your help

Was the ped ok with his growth? If so I wouldn’t worry about anything. The 8-12oz seems a bit more typical to me anyway and the solids aren’t too much, just don’t be in a hurry to increase quickly. I would emphasize the solids during the day when you are away and let him bf when he’s with you.

His birth wt was 7.2lbs so he was gaining fast the first 4 months. The pedi was ok since he was @ 25percentile. But I don't know why the sudden poor intake. Today all he has since 6am this morning is total of 4 oz so far.
He seems to be teething btw he chewing on everything he can get his hands on.Also he only nurses when he is half sleep.
Thank you again for all your help

Overall compared to his birth weight he’s doing ok. If the ped wasn’t worried then I think alls ok.

Thank you so much for responding so quickly. Unfortunately he only bfs when is half a sleep otherwise he is too distracted. I am pumping to make sure my supply doesn't decrease. So far I am able to get about 25 0z a day from three pumping sessions.
Thanks Kathy.
