SOS! Weight and possible supply issue:(

Hello,

I will try to make this as short as possible. My DD was born at 28 weeks and was gaining well. At her 6 month appt. she started going off of her curve and now (10 month appt (7 months adjusted) she is completely off the charts and her curve. She has only gained 1lb 10 oz in 4 months and has only grew 1.5 inches. I started her on solids two weeks ago but only give 1-2tbsp. as a dessert to her milk. So that obviously isn't the problem. The only thing I can think of since she started gaining slowly (or not at all) is that my AF appeared around that time. Not sure if this can affect supply. She is hungry every 1h 15 min -1.5 hours ( from start of nursing session to the start of next).. Her NICU ped. and dietician

Baby is having good number of wet/dirty diapers?

Are you nursing one breast, or both each time?

When everything else looks good, *I* dont get too concerned about the chart and where baby is on it (or isn't on it) - mainly because I've had personal experience with 3 of ours not being on the chart.

Thanks Paula for the reassuring words!

I was only feeding her one breast, but am now feeding her from both. I wait until she is done one, and then I offer her the second which she always takes. I am also doing breast compressions.

I suppose my worry is that she has been growing slowly for 4 months now. She is not even on the WHO charts for her adjusted age. She is developing in all other areas which does give me some relief:) The ped has mentioned that if she continues to show little growth in another 3 months he will do bloodwork to rule anything out. He has also mentioned FTT.....hoping she is just a slow grower:)

Thanks again,

Any other words of encouragement or more advice would be great!

Have you or dad checked your growth rate as infants?
