I know this isn’t a direct BF question but it is related. I am slowly weaning my 17mth –old. Or I should say she has started to wean herself down.

I hope you get some other input as well, but I wanted to say I wouldn't rule out the change in pill as the root of the problem.

I can help with this one. It's unfortunately because of the minipill. It has nothing to do with switching brands, presuming you just went from name-brand to generic or something like that and it's still the minipill.

The same exact thing happened to me when I got PPAF back at 26 months pp. I started bleeding every two weeks too. I talked to my OB about this and she said it's not that uncommon. Since Jason was already over 2, I was comfortable switching to a combination BCP at that point. I didn't get the crazy PMS symptoms so I can't help with that.

Honestly, I'm not positive. I always had a hefty supply so I wasn't worried if it did go down a bit (which I can't say it did, we were on our way to weaning by that point anyways).
