BM does have a natural laxative effect, so maybe......Constipation can be caused by emotional issues so it could be that baby is distressed from the weaning process - maybe she was not ready to be fully weaned.

Keep in mind constipation though is a hard dry formed stool - think like rabbit pellets. lol! It does NOT refer to the frequency of the stool - not everyone goes every day.

Are you using flax oil or ground seeds? Ground seeds are the preferable - they can be added to yogurt, applesauce etc. Also the "p" fruits -pears, prunes plums etc are good additions.

Have you taken a spin through Dr. Sears article on constipation? http://askdrsears.com/html/8/t081100.asp

HTH!

Thanx for the reply. I use golden ground flax seed and add it to yogurt, pudding, oatmeal, or baby food prune puree. I know its not necessary for children to poop everyday but her normal rhythm was 1x/day after naptime. I just feel so bad when she's crying "poopies mama!" :(
