((HUGS)) to you and baby!!

Just because most doctors are NOT well-educated in regards to the true safety of medications and breastfeeding, can you let us know what med/s you need to be on? In many cases, the med IS safe or has a safe alternative. Or, perhaps we can figure out the half=life and a time that you could maybe nurse once or twice safely in a day.

Did you read the article I posted regarding safety of breastfeeding and medications? Please do so, if you didn't have a chance. It sounds like your docs are looking only at the PDR or the drug manufactuer's info.

There are many, MANY medications that have been APPROVED by the AAP for a nursing mother to use...they will all say on the packaging to not use while bfing, though. The article I linked to earlier discusses this. This is a list of meds approved to use: http://www.kellymom.com/health/meds/aap-approved-meds.html

Cymbalta (duloxetine) is still rated L3 in the 2008 Hale's.
