What could this be?

I have posted on here a couple of times about all my bfing obstacles (ds was born tongue tied, had Mastitis 5 times, countless episodes of thrush, cracked/holes, bleeding of the nipples, biting, and etc). The other day we were running around like crazy and my little guy only decided to nurse on one side at each feeding (usually does both sides). The next day I noticed that directly in the center of my areola was very sore. It was very sore to touch and feels exactly like when you have a clog (almost like that bruised feeling). I just had him nurse like crazy on that side and make sure that I was not getting a clog. I never ended up with any red spots, and it is starting to feel better. It is still a little tender, but only a little sore to touch when I press hard enough. But, it is still very painful when he nurses on that side. I know that my latch is good, and I don't think that it is thrush. He is feeding fine on the other side and I have no pain. Is it possible to get a clog directly in the middle of your areola. I know that when I have had clogs before (or Masitis) that it can take a couple of days for the pain to go away. But, this is just in a weird spot. I feel fine otherwise, and mostly only notice it when nursing. It may be tender for a couple of minutes afterward and then goes away. So, I could definitley use an suggestions or advice. TIA.
