A couple things you may already be doing (or know since you have btdt) or DCP may be doing but want to cover for lurkers. Also questions

-Are you still using the slowest flow newborn nipples? BF babies ALWAYS use slowest flow nipples.
-Is DCP doing a paced feed or letting baby "guzzle" bottle? This is from Kathy about paced feeding:
"The breast milk fed baby should not have to increase the amount he takes the same as formula fed babies do. Ask the dc provider to use paced bottle-feeding so the baby drinks slowly and takes an appropriate (not too large) amount. With paced bottle-feeding the baby takes about 5-20 sucks on the bottle then the bottle is taken out of the mouth for a minute or so while the baby takes a break, sucks on a paci or clean finger, then a little more bottle (5-20 sucks) and a little more break, a bit more bottle, and a bit more break…etc. to slow the baby’s pace of drinking."
-In addition to the right before going to DCP and right after how many other times is baby nursing in 24 hours? I am assuming baby is not STTN.
-The food you have tried were the purees or table foods? Does baby do better with self feeding vs spoon feeding?
-I can understand not wanting DCP to introduce new foods, would you consider sending something you have previously introduced? This would be my preference given that I know how hard it is for a teacher tp pump. I also think it ispossible that seeing the other kids eating might make her "excited" and she might want to mimic them. I would not be concerned to much about lack of variety at this point. I thought my oldest was going to turn orange he liked sweet potato so much and would eat nothing else, but no worries at age 11 his favorite veggies are brussel sprouts and asparagus. :)

HTH!

I am not an lactation expert just a parent of 2 kids. I started introducing a sippy of water and a spoon at "mealtime" with whatever food I gave them around 9 months. We sit as a family for as many meals as possible and I feel that lets them learn everything that goes along with that. So we would have whatever we were eating and once they could sit on their own they would go into the high chair to sit with us. The sippy and spoon were more entertainment for the little one than anything else but it started the ball rolling for future eating.

Thanks for the response - in answer to your questions:

- she does use only slow flow nipples

- She says she sucks it down, so I am guessing she isn't pacing.
