Hi,

I keep toying with the idea to use cloth diapers with this baby. I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with the brand "just simply baby"

I have never heard of those, but it looks like they are made by a WAHM (as lots of diapers are). I couldn't find any reviews on diaperpin or hyenacart, which are 2 places that I usually check. It might be worth it to join her Facebook group and see that other people have to say there.
I have used cloth for my one child for the past 2.5 years (we just potty trained). Love it. The times when we have to use disposables I am never happy.
As for how often to change - newborns every 2 hours around the clock (same in cloth or disposable). Older babies every 2-3 hours when awake (ok to go longer for night and naps). Yes, you can stretch out a disposable for 4 hours between changes, but it's not really healthy for the baby's skin to be sitting in pee for that long over and over again. So I changed 'sposies just as often as I change cloth.

I'm not familiar with them either, but I see they have a good return policy, so I'd probably try a few and see how you like them, then order more if they work for you.

Hey

I am doing cloth diapers for my 3 month old baby. I love that they change size as my baby is growing very very quickly. I bought 20 and I wash them every 2-3 days. I am home all the time so I am constantly doing laundry so it isn't that big of a deal to throw in a load of diapers quite often. (If you want to know how to clean them, feel free to message me).

I didn't know the gender of my baby before he was born so I picked out unisex patterns. When I started looking I felt so overwhelmed and it took a couple months before I found what would be right for me. I use the pocket style diapers and they work quite well. I found them so expensive so I looked elsewhere to find a cheaper alternative. I found the minky diapers on ebay : http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180609038639&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

They were really kind and answered all the questions I had before I ordered. The shipping does cost a lot but it comes out cheaper per diaper than buying them anywhere around here.

Again, If you have any questions I would love to help you. My husband and I love how much money we are saving using cloth diapers!

Totally agree with the previous poster. Different cloth diaps have different shapes and thicknesses, and will fit kids of different proportions differently. It is really worthwhile to buy a few and see how you like them (and how they fit your little person) before you buy a bunch of stuff that ends up too short or too wide in the crotch for your child.
