I'm looking to have Connor start swim lessons next month. Any recommendations for cloth swim diapers? Can a regular cloth diaper be used (I have FBs & BGs)? Thanks!

Check with your pool before you make any purchases. Lots of the pools in our area require a disposable swim diaper and a plastic pants style swim diaper over that. So I use Little Swimmers and his swim trunks have an integrated swim diaper liner. Since you're usually dealing with teenage lifeguards, they only accept the one thing they were told is correct.

I personally use a specialist swim diaper. I don't know whether you could use a BG or FB - my guess would be no simply because it would get quite heavy. Having said this, maybe it would work if you took the inserts out and just used the 'shell'. But I'm also not sure that the chlorine would be good for them.

DD has taken swimming lessons since she was 3 months old and we've used several different types. I personally like the Bummis Swimmi

Thank you both, very helpful! I'll check with the pool we'll be doing swim lessons at. The ILs live in FL and have a pool, which we'll be spending time there over the summer and at the beach, so I'll prob invest in some cloth as well as whatever is required for lessons! Thanks again :)

We mostly have used iplay swim diapers and they work well. If you have a diaper cover that you're either not fond of or doesn't fit with an insert but fits ok without. just remember that a swim diaper for infants is just to keep the poop in, so there aren't any inserts to abdorb liquids.....
