I decided to post this question because of a personal issue that's about to present itself for me. I'm due in 3wks and while I'm in the hospital my mom and then DH's family will be with our other two boys. Our eldest is potty trained but our, soon to be middle, is 2.5 and still in diapers. There have been times when they have gone to the grandparents house for a week and we give them a box of disposables so they don't have to wash them at their house. I've thought about getting some disposables for when the grandparents are taking care of them but, I don't really want to. They all know we CD but my mom hasn't been shy about how "gross" she thinks it is and I guess I just want to make it easier for DH's parents. So, when it comes to caregivers, daycares or family, do you have them use cloth? Or do you send them with disposables?

Our family and our daycare providers use cloth.

DH's family has always taken the "we'll do things with them the way you do things with them" approach. :D Thankfully. ;)

I almost always sent cloth to either set of grandparents and neither grandmother had any problem with it.

I have always sent my kids with their CD. Prefolds are so easy to wash I wouldn't be too concerned with expecting them to do one load of CD. Your 2.5 yo poo is probably v easy to plop off into the toilet, I imagine, so the poo factor I wouldn't be concerned about. I would prob just leave written instructions for his night time diaper and washing.
